It’s beautiful… these large canvases can have a beguiling effect in a room. It’s also provoking, precisely because it’s regular and semi-automated and therefore negates individual expressiveness and yet stands as a kind of artist statement about art. It’s highly crafted - this is still made by hand on brush. And if you put this side by side with many other abstract or figurative works, many people will like it more
